Be Like Water: A Meditation

Photo by Akira Hojo on Unsplash

Flow.

Crash.

Settle into stillness and reflect back all that you see.

Dance with the movement of wind and air.

Touch everything in your path and as you touch it, leave your mark.

Make change, gradually.

Make change, with violent force.

Nourish everything you touch.

Show the world the weight of its impurities in your face.

Feel the impact of every thoughtless, violent act perpetrated on the earth.

Renew yourself. Join forces and clean away debris.

Hold the warmth of summer and give it back as the weather cools.

Hold the chill of winter and give it back as the weather warms.

Part gently and allow people in. Show them the direction you want to go and let them choose to ride with you or leave you.

Soften the hard edges of everything you touch. Slowly. Patiently.

Give a bit of yourself to every hand that touches you.

When sunlight touches you, shine.

Love the earth so much you go back to stroke it in waves, over and over.

Go underground. Break the surface.

Crash.

Flow.
